American Legion Business Task Force
Michael Phipps, Managing Director of The Millennium Group Int’l LLC, (MGI) is a founding and sustaining member of The American Legion’s Business Task Force. The American Legion’s Business Task Force is a consortium of accomplished veteran business owners and entrepreneurs who have volunteered to advise the Legion on legislative matters that pertain to veteran businesses. Its group of around 30 members share their experience – ranging from the public and private sectors – to help inform the Legion’s Veterans Education & Employment Division on matters relating to federal contracting for veterans, procurement and other areas that affect veteran business owners.
MGI has volunteered to help educate and mentor Veteran Owned Businesses across the country. MGI has reviewed and recommended changes to policy on behalf of the Legion for Veterans issues always striving to impact and improve the standing of Veteran businesses. Mr. Phipps has taught a wide variety of business classes to Veteran businesses at multiple American Legion National Conventions and Legion Business Events where such agencies as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Justice have participated. Classes and training have included basic government contracting, advanced government contracting strategy and Doing Business Overseas.
